The Defense Department said Friday Cubic’s defense applications unit will help sustain operational tempos at various military bases in Saudi Arabia through the foreign military sales contract.

Work under the sole-source acquisition effort will occur through Feb 28, 2022.

Cubic’s global defense segment was awarded a $61 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in September to modernize the Air Force’s P-5 system.

The company designed P5 CTS for U.S. warfighters and coalition partners to train on a single common platform.
