durst_darrell_small (1)Darrell Durst serves as vice president of cyber solutions for Lockheed Martins information systems and global solutions business, where he leads a 600-person organization that provides cyber technology and services to the federal government.

He is also on the company’s corporate executive diversity council and has served on several of the company’s diversity councils since 2002.

His 28-year career includes experience in system architecture, requirements and concept-of-operations development, systems studies, modeling and simulation and business case development for communications and signals systems.

Durst has also led a cross business area executive cyber team, which the company says delivered a cross-product line strategy that focused on aligning and synchronizing cyber expertise, technology and resources for business growth

Within cyber solutions, engineering professionals carry out development and operations programs for providing government customers cyber services in the U.S. and internationally.

Customers receive encryption technologies, wired and wireless network defense, cyber training, war-gaming, security architecture integration and intrusion detection services.

Durst serves on the University of Maryland’s electrical and computer engineering advisory board.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a masters degree in electrical engineering, both from Howard University.
