Iron-Mountain - ExecutiveMosaicIron Mountain will present at the next Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers meeting that will focus on the evolution of the Internet, including the launch of new generic top-level domains.

The 170 new gTLDs such as .holdings and .careers are intended to help companies build up their web presences and industry activities, as well as require additional registry data escrow protection, Iron Mountain said Thursday.

The company acts as an escrow agent for several registries and registry services with the goal of providing business continuity protection for existing and new gTLD data under ICANN’s Registry Data Escrow Agreement.

“As new gTLDs are being delegated and made available to the public, Iron Mountain’s registry data escrow services for new gTLDs are fully operational and already accepting data,” said Mary English, vice president of operations for Iron Mountain’s intellectual property management group.

The ICANN 49 meeting will be held in Singapore from March 23 to 27.
