b-w world-peopleStephen Elliot, formerly of CA Technologies, will join International Data Corp. to assume the role of vice president of the IT infrastructure and cloud practice for the company’s CIO Agenda research team.

Elliot will advise enterprise IT companies and the investment community on IT development operations, cloud management, automation, virtualization and working within software-defined data centers, IDC said Monday.

“IDC’s rapid growth in advising enterprise IT organizations and their use of third platform technologies across staffing, processes, and data center technologies requires a balance of business and technology acumen,” said IDC Vice President and IT Executive Advisor Joseph Pucciarelli.

At CA Technologies, Elliot served in several leadership roles such as as VP of strategy for the infrastructure management and data center automation business unit.

He also developed strategic initiatives and provided strategic and tactical advice to customers wanting assistance in migrating to the cloud.

“Elliot has the skill set, the strong background, passion, and the know-how to create unique insights that help our clients transform operations and drive business leadership,” said Pucciarelli.
