Concurrent Technologies Corp. has been included in Military Times’ “Best for Vets” employer list for 2016 in recognition of the company’s efforts to connect with current and potential veteran employees.

CTC ranked 22nd out of 75 companies in the 2016 list, up by three spots from 2015, CTC said Monday.

The ranking was based on an assessment of the companies’ culture and policies tailored for military veterans and the results of a 90-question survey about the firms’ veteran engagement programs.

“CTC’s workforce is comprised of exceptional employees… Many of those employees are current and former members of the U.S. armed forces,” said Ed Sheehan Jr., president and CEO of CTC.

” They gained unique knowledge, experience, and leadership skills while serving our country, and they are an important part of our team.”

In 2015, CTC said 22 percent of its new hires were military veterans, who also account for 14 percent of the company’s total workforce.
