Michel Potvin, vice president of corporate marketing and strategy at Esterline, has been appointed as platform president of Esterline’s avionics systems business in Montreal, Canada.

He will succeed Greg Yeldon, who is due to step down in early May, and will manage the organization that offers avionics products and sales support services to the Canadian aerospace and defense sector, Esterline said Wednesday.

Potvin joined the Bellevue, Washington-based company in 2011 as platform president of its control systems business group after he worked as a vice president at L-3 Communications‘ aircraft support services division L-3 MAS.

He also previously held general management roles at Invensys Process Systems for nine years and served in project management and engineering positions at Lockheed Martin‘s Canadian subsidiary and Securiplex Technologies.
