space-engineeringDavid Logsdon, CompTIA‘s Space Enterprise Council senior director, has joined the Commerce Department‘s International Trade Advisory Committee on Aerospace Equipment and will serve through the committee’s four-year charter term.

The ITAC on Aerospace Equipment works to provide advisory support to the secretary of commerce and the U.S. trade representative on market access, trade barriers and other regional and bilateral trade agreements affecting the aerospace sector, CompTIA said Thursday.

Logsdon leads the Space Enterprise Council, which was based at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the New and Emerging Technologies Committee at CompTIA.

He has served on TechAmerica’s technology convergence commission, the Aerospace Industries Association and the National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Advisory Board.

“The ITAC’s role is to highlight issues that impact the competitiveness of the American aerospace industry,” said Logsdon.

“I look forward to representing the interests of the American space enterprise to help ensure that America remains the global space industry leader,” he added.
