HIIHuntington Ingalls Industries has provided more than $100,000 in total funds to help finance science, technology, engineering and math projects of 28 schools and educational groups in Alabama and Mississippi.

The funds were awarded through a STEM grant program managed by HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division, the company said Tuesday.
