Francis Taylor, formerly undersecretary for intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security, has joined Cambridge Global Advisors as a principal and senior adviser.

The strategic advisory services firm said Thursday Taylor will work with clients in government, nonprofits, non-government organizations and corporate establishments concerning national security and global affairs.

“He brings a depth of knowledge and demonstrated leadership managing security operations in the military, government and corporate arenas,” said Jake Braun, CEO of CGA.

Taylor’s responsibilities at DHS included the oversight and execution of intelligence and analysis operations in support of the homeland security mission.

Prior to his appointment to the department in 2014, he was president and CEO of FXTaylor Associates and a vice president and chief security officer at General Electric.

He has also previously worked in the public sector as the assistant secretary of the State Department for diplomatic security and served in the military as commander of the U.S. Air Force‘s office of special investigations.
