Boeing Supports 6 Nonprofit Veteran Services Providers With $1M Donation - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing has pledged to donate $1 million to six nonprofit organizations that offer rehabilitation and well-being services for military veteran and civilian members around the globe.

The company said Saturday it will distribute $600,000 to three U.S.-based veterans nonprofits that include Disabled Sports USA; Team Red, White and Blue; and the Yellow Ribbon Fund.

Limbs International, The Air League of the United Kingdom and the Australian War Memorial will share $400,000 in total grants from Boeing to support civilian populations and provide mobility services to veterans in Australia and the U.K.

More than 60,000 employees have participated in a fundraising effort that supported mobility programs for people in need as part of Boeing Moves the World initiative.

The company announced the donation in conjunction with its sponsorship of the 2017 Defense Department Warrior Games in Chicago.
