Systems Planning and Analysis on Friday marked its 45th anniversary in business in support of U.S. national security and defense sectors.

Dr. William Vantine, SPA president and CEO, said in a statement released Friday, the company worked to establish itself as an adviser in support of clients’ missions through the leadership of Phillip Lantz who was responsible for the incorporation of SPA on July 28, 1972.

“We carry on that tradition of excellence and remain committed to performing important work for our nation’s most important programs and doing so the right way all the time,” Vantine added.

Since its incorporation, SPA has expanded its client base in support of customers’ missions across the departments of Defense, Energy and Homeland Security.

Alexandria, Virginia-based SPA provides systems engineering and integration, program management, mission assurance and modeling analytics support services across several domains such as undersea and air warfare, ballistic missile systems, radar and sensor platforms, analytic software development, unmanned systems and nuclear deterrence.
