iDirectGov Releases New Satcom Software - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Herndon, Virginia-based iDirect Government has released an updated version of its software platform designed to power 9-Series satellite routers, tactical hub and line cards.

Version 4.2 of Evolution works to help government and military clients manage intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance content, voice calls and other high bandwidth applications intended for maritime, ground or aerial missions, iDirectGov said Tuesday.

John Ratigan, president of iDirectGov, said the company introduced its satcom software to help customers connect, manage and coordinate satellite communications assets in the field.

Evolution 4.2 features a new user interface and a one-way transmission security tool built to support the Global Broadcast Service, the company noted.

The software also facilitates interoperability with current GBS networks through the Multi-Protocol Encapsulation protocol and seeks to eliminate duplicate channels with the Multicast Filtering method.

iDirect added its latest Evolution release and 9-Series product line offer a security content automation protocol service, full network management system support for the company’s tactical hub and a fan in/fan out feature that supports the Wideband Global Satcom constellation.
