SpaceX Dragon Capsule Returns to Earth With Payload From ISS - top government contractors - best government contracting eventSpaceX‘s Dragon capsule splashed down into the Pacific Ocean on Saturday, carrying more than 4,000 pounds’ worth of payload from the International Space Station.

The company said Saturday Dragon’s return from ISS marked the completion of its 14th cargo resupply mission.

The spacecraft embarked on the mission–its second trip to the space station–aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on April 2.

Once Dragon is recovered, it will be transported to Long Beach, California, where NASA will collect part of the ship’s cargo.

Afterward, Dragon will undergo final processing at its manufacturer’s test facility in McGregor, Texas.
