Navy Taps Boeing Subsidiary to Deliver Lot II Blackjack UAS, Attrition Aircraft - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing‘s Insitu subsidiary has received a $54M U.S. Navy contract to provide four Lot II RQ-21A Blackjack unmanned aircraft systems and eight attrition aircraft.

Seven of the attrition vehicles would go to the U.S. Marine Corps, while the remaining one would go to the Polish government, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

Insitu would also provide complementary ground control stations, launch and recovery equipment, shipboard equipment kits, and systems engineering and program management services.

The Navy will obligate the entire contract amount at the time of award. The firm-fixed-price contract allots funds for both Marine Corps and foreign military sales purchases.

Work will take place in Bingen, Wash. and Hood River, Ore. through June 2019.

The Naval Air Systems Command issued the sole-source award.
