Mission Secure has completed a Series A financing round as the company aims to expand the reach of its cybersecurity software offering in the defense, transportation and energy markets.

The MSi Platform is designed to help customers monitor and secure industrial-grade control systems within protected facilities, the company said Wednesday.

Energy Innovation Capital and Chevron Technology Ventures led the recent investment round for MSi.

Other investors were Macquarie Capital, Blue Bear Capital, Felton Group, R/GA Ventures and the University of Virginia’s licensing and ventures group.

“The financial capital provided by energy investors will help us expand the team and execute on our mission to help shield the global energy industry from cyberattacks, while helping the military be better protected from cyber adversaries,” said David Drescher, co-founder and CEO at MSi.
