Lockheed Martin has received a $68.9M delivery order for upgrades to the F-35 U.S. Reprogramming Laboratory as part of a basic ordering agreement with the U.S. Navy.

The upgrades will enable efforts to program and reprogram mission data for the Digital Channelized Receiver/Technique Generator and Tuner Insertion Program configurations as well as non-DTIP configurations of the fifth-generation fighter aircraft, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The programming effort will, in turn, support operational F-35s at the Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps, as well as training platforms equipped with mission data and deployed within the continental U.S.

The three service branches will obligate $20M in total fiscal 2018 funds at the time of award.

Lockheed's aeronautics business will carry out work in Texas, Maryland and Florida through May 2021.
