Members of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force recently underwent virtual training at Northrop Grumman's Distributed Training Center.

Four Marines from Joint Base Lewis-McChord and eight F-15 aircrews from Mountain Home Air Force Base practiced two close air support scenarios simulated using equipment at the DTC located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, Northrop said Tuesday.

Northrop engineers developed the training simulations and provided support during the event.

While the Air Force has been using the DTC for nearly a decade, the recent DTC training session was a first for the Marine Corps.

Last year, the Army Rangers used the DTC for training for the first time as well.
