Raytheon to Continue Navy Air, Missile Defense Radar Support - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Raytheon’s integrated defense systems business will continue to help the U.S. Navy build and integrate air and missile defense radars under a $28M contract modification.

The service branch exercised options on a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-only contract for AN/SPY-6(V) production and integration services in support of the AMDR combat system, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Work under the modification will occur in California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Virginia through December.

The company received an initial $357.8M contract in late 2018 to produce AN/SPY-6(V) systems.

According to DoD, the obligated amount of $25M at the time of award is from the Navy's fiscal 2017, 2018, and 2019 shipbuilding and conversion funds.
