The U.S. Army plans to award a contract to Agile Defense to continue improving the service branch’s electronic warfare planning and management tool.

Agile Defense will continue to develop and evaluate a prototype DarkLight Expert System under the contract, the Army said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice.

DLES is an artificial intelligence platform that takes input from military devices, processes the known factors of the scenario and analyzes the data for cybersecurity purposes.

The contract would continue work under a previous award that the Army solicited for competitively, and the service branch intends to award the new contract within fiscal year 2019’s fourth quarter.

Interested and concerned parties may submit responses through June 18.
