Ex Libris has secured certification under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s Tailored baseline to offer two cloud services intended to help government customers manage library and research materials.

The Department of Health and Human Services served as Ex Libris’ federal sponsor in the assessment process for its Alma library services platform and Primo discover service, the company said Tuesday.

Both software-as-a-service platforms demonstrated compliance with security requirements for government cloud service offerings under the FedRAMP Tailored framework, which covers low-impact SaaS systems.

Alma employs a single interface for print, digital and electronic resources management while Primo works to integrate library and academic systems for workflow processing.
