Quantum technology company ColdQuanta has secured $2.8M in funds to support four separate programs from NASA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the U.S. military.

The company said Tuesday the award brings its research and development funds to more than $30M and covers the accelerated development of the Quantum Core technology.

Projects under the award include the development of radio frequency sensors, photonic integrated chips and a quantum memory device.

“While each of these awards focus on a different application of cold atom technology, taken together they are important milestones toward the development of quantum systems for global positioning and communications," said Dana Anderson, founder and chief technology officer at ColdQuanta.

ColdQuanta offers cold-atom systems, glass cells, ion-trap packages, electronics and related accessories.
