Amazon Web Services has launched a four-week program that seeks to provide technical, mentoring and business support and resources to space startups worldwide.

AWS and investment group Seraphim will pick 10 companies to take part in the AWS Space Accelerator, which will take place in June and provide startups technical training to help them advance research and development efforts and growth initiatives using cloud, AWS said Tuesday.

“We are proud to announce the AWS Space Accelerator as part of our ongoing commitment to help startups succeed, and to shape the future of aerospace. We look forward to helping the first cohort of companies launch and grow through this new program,” said Clint Crosier, a retired Air Force major general and director of aerospace and satellite at AWS.

The companies have started accepting applications from startups working on space technology platforms with potential applications in areas such as earth observation, spacecraft hardware and software, electronics and robotics and spacecraft launch and delivery.

Companies selected for the AWS Space Accelerator may get up to $100,000 in AWS Activate credit, collaboration opportunities with AWS Partner Network members and mentoring support from experts.

Proposals will be accepted through April 21.
