Consortium Management Group has received a potential $175.8 million award from the U.S. Air Force to help the service branch modernize an airborne high-frequency radio system.

The other transaction authority is for the rapid fielding phase of the modernization program and encompasses production deliveries, first article testing, operational test support, initial contractor support and training services, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Work will be performed in Washington, D.C. and Fort Wayne, Indiana, through July 31, 2027.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia received two white paper offers for the contract, which was awarded through a competitive acquisition process.

AFLCMC will obligate $1.7 million in the Air Force’s research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2022 at the time of award.

CMG is a nonprofit corporation that manages OTA consortia for command, control and communications in cyberspace and energy, environmental and demilitarization.
