Juvare has acquired Nusura, a homeland security and emergency management consulting and technology company, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal aims to help Juvare serve its national defense and federal emergency management customers by boosting strategic, operational and tactical capabilities, the critical incident preparedness and response technology company said Wednesday.

Robert Watson, CEO of Juvare, remarked on how the companies’ combined ability could create more safety and preparedness in emergency situations for organizations that view planning ahead for crisis scenarios as “a critical organizational competence.”

Watson went on to say that he anticipates the partnership will result in streamlined operations, secure communications and precise technology offerings for its clients.

On a program level, the combination is expected to bring to customers preparedness training joint technology SimulationDeck. In addition, the companies will work together using Juvare’s established strategies through WebEOC, EMResource, eICS and the Juvare Exchange platform.

Emily Norcross, CEO of Nusura, commented that the company looks forward to utilizing the said programs with Juvare in order to provide mission-critical readiness for armed forces, homeland security and emergency management operations.

“The partnership strengthens both companies’ ability to provide organizations with a clear understanding of how things work during real-world crises, emergencies and military operations,” said Norcross.

In its most recent crisis mission, Juvare has been selected by the Illinois Department of Public Health to employ the EMTrack offering to help schedule and track the administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
