Northrop Grumman has selected CAES to provide the aerospace and defense company with antennas designed to protect GPS-guided precision weapons from jamming and interference threats.

CAES said Monday it secured a contract worth over $24 million to deliver 80,000 M-Code GPS antennas to Northrop in support of the Precision Guidance Kit production over a three-year period.

PGK is designed to transform 155 mm artillery projectiles into satellite-guided precision weapons that enable positioning accuracy.

“Our advanced capabilities in antenna design and manufacturing are a natural fit in supporting these advanced munitions,” said Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES and a two-time Wash100 awardee.

Kahn added that the PGK program will “bring accurate, reliable and affordable precision fires to the Army.”

In September 2022, Northrop marked the delivery of 100,000 PGK for the Army artillery units.
