The board of directors at battery technology provider EnerSys will nominate Lauren Knausenberger, executive vice president and chief innovation officer at Science Applications International Corp. and a previous Wash100 awardee, as a class II director at the board’s annual meeting.

Arthur Katsaros, chair of the board, said in a statement published Tuesday that Knausenberger is a globally recognized leader in technology, digital modernization and cybersecurity and has been recognized for her work as CIO and chief transformation officer of the U.S. Air Force.

The EnerSys board will also nominate Dave Habiger, CEO of consumer insights and analytics provider JD Power, for election as a class II director.

“David and Lauren bring outstanding integrity, judgment, leadership skills, and business experience to EnerSys. On behalf of the Board, we look forward to stockholders electing our new nominees to the Board,” Katsaros said.

Katsaros and Robert Magnus, a retired U.S. Marine Corps general, will retire from the board at the end of their elected terms. Paul Tufano, former president and CEO of Benchmark Electronics, will serve as the next board chair and Steven Fludder, former CEO of LS Energy Solutions, will chair the board’s compensation committee.
