CA-technologies-logo EbizCA Technologies Inc. has released a forecast for identity and access management trends in 2014 and the how security professionals will interact with the technology.

Data, application, infrastructure and network will become software-based through application programming interfaces, CA Technologies said Thursday.

Mike Denning, senior vice president and general manager of security business at CA Technologies, said fresh business demands and enabling technologies will emerge to change the course of IAM and security for organizations.

Security will become key for open enterprise and information technology departments will need to find ways to protect these assets.

Mobile device companies will develop new security technologies in order to isolate corporate data and applications from personal use as consumers continue to switch smartphones and tablets.

Identity proofing service demands will rise as organizations continue to face challenges in controlling access to their networks and the use of online services proliferate, CA Technologies says.

Chief marketing officers will push for new identity management initiatives, social login systems and social media in an effort to gain insights into customer interaction patterns and browsing and purchasing behavior.

CA also projects the use of risk-based authentication to extend beyond financial services if companies develop robust security technologies that take into consideration a smooth user experience.
