leidos_purpleLeidos has been awarded a one-year, $11 million option under a contract with the U.S. Army to develop live virtual and constructive training environments.

The company said Monday it will continue supporting the Army’s SE Core Common Virtual Environment Management program with terrain databases, as well as cultural and moving models for operational training.

SE Core CVEM works to simulate combat conditions before warfighters enter real-world combat and is designed to integrate database virtual environment development, architecture and integration initiatives.

Leidos’ contract is with the Army’s program executive office for simulation, training and instrumentation.
