The Global Network On the Move Active Distribution system is built to provide command, control, communications and intelligence tools to armored combat and sport utility vehicles, Exelis said Thursday.

“We are proud to have had GNOMAD deployed in a combat environment where ease of use, multiple vehicle integration and dependable communications are critical,” said Nick Bobay, president of Exelis’ night vision and communications solutions division.

GNOMAD was evaluated by the Army science and technology community at AEWE and has been used by U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other deployments.
