cyber hack network computerCapgemini, IBM and QinetiQ have partnered with British information technology training group E-Skills to offer cybersecurity apprenticeships across the U.K., Computing.co.uk reported Thursday.

Sooraj Shah writes the alliance seeks to hire and train more than 100 apprentices by this summer.

Other program partners include Airbus, BT Group and Atos.

“It is our goal to make choosing to go to university or take an apprenticeship the new norm,” said Matthew Hancock, British minister for skills and enterprise, according to the website.

“With high tech and important examples like this I can see that this is rapidly becoming a reality,” Hancock added.
