Red Hat has launched a digital shop for developers to find and try cloud computing applications supported by the company’s OpenShift platform-as-a-service offering.
The OpenShift Marketplace offers information on email delivery services, database, messaging queues and application performance monitoring products, Red Hat said Monday.
The portal features platforms from various OpenShift value-added resellers, including BlazeMeter, ClearDB, MongoLab, Redis Labs and SendGrid.
“As the OpenShift partner ecosystem continues to expand, we expect the Marketplace to provide developers and customers a more streamlined, secure experience to choose the best third-party solutions for their productivity and business enablement needs,” said Julio Tapia, Red Hat’s OpenShift ecosystem director.
Red Hat partners use the OpenShift cartridge to integrate technology and service offerings with OpenShift applications, according to the company.
The marketplace is also designed to help independent software vendors present their marketing materials and manage transactions.
