Jacobs Engineering Group will provide Boeing with project and construction management support such as preliminary planning and project controls for a planned 1.2 million-square foot fabrication facility in Everett, Wash.
The companies aim to complete the future Composite Wing Center for the Boeing 777X commercial plane by mid-2016, Jacobs said Tuesday.
Tom McDuffie, Jacobs group vice president, the “technically complex” project is a continuation of its ongoing partnership with Boeing.
Jacobs and Boeing plan to start construction work later this year.
