Parsons Corp. has been granted a U.S. patent for its technology designed to help remove light, non-aqueous phase liquid contaminants from groundwater and soil at petroleum release sites.
The NAPL-Away platform works to address LNAPL pollution by using a natural anaerobic biodegradation method, Parsons said Thursday.
Virginia Grebbien, a Parsons group president, said the company builds environmental tools to help customers address sustainability issues.
The company also designed the technology to reduce the time spent monitoring the natural attenuation of NAPL residues.
