IBMlogo3 EbizIBM has debuted an entrepreneurial program with the goal of helping technology startups and developers access cloud development tools and bring new offerings to the cloud market more quickly.

The Global Entrepreneur Program for Cloud Startups initiative gives entrepreneurs a chance to leverage a suite of IBM platforms designed to help users build cloud-based applications for big data, mobile, social networks, IBM said Monday.

Sandy Carter, IBM general manager of ecosystem development, said the company aims to accelerate innovation across multiple industries such as the healthcare and banking sectors.

IBM will offer up to $120,000 in credits for eligible early-stage companies to use the IBM Cloud portfolio and launch their technology products or services.

The program is also designed to provide startups an opportunity to partner with other entrepreneurs and connect with IBM’s enterprise clients.
