Amrita Jayakumar writes that under TRICARE Managed Care Support T2017, the agency will farm out $50 billion in work two contractors, down one slot from previous versions that allowed up to three awardees.

The agency said its request for proposal will be finalized after consideration of all industry comments received.

The Tricare platform has over 9.5 million beneficiaries around the world, including active service members, retirees and their families.
