CAE has been selected to provide a simulation and training system for NAVMAR Applied Sciences’ unmanned aerial vehicles, Intelligence Aerospace reported Wednesday.

Courtney Howard writes CAE will develop courseware, ground control station and simulator and training services for NASC’s TigerShark XP drones.

“We are delighted that NASC has selected CAE as their simulation and training partner for the TigerShark XP and future unmanned aerial systems they may develop,” said Ray Duquette, president and general manager of CAE USA.

NASC and CAE will collaborate to modernize the ground control station for TigerShark XP under the first phase of the agreement.

“The use of unmanned systems for both defense and commercial applications will continue to grow so training aircrews how to safely operate these vehicles will become increasingly important,” Duquette added.
