CGI has been awarded a multiyear, $121 million contract to help the California State Teachers’ Retirement System modernize a technology platform for managing pension benefits for teachers statewide.
CalSTRS asked the company to build an integrated enterprise system for agency personnel to manage records of the state’s more than 879,000 pension fund beneficiaries, CGI said Thursday.
“CGI is pleased to support CalSTRS’ vital mission of helping secure the financial future and sustain the trust of California’s educators,” said Dave Delgado, a senior vice president and lead for the U.S. West business group at CGI.
The company will use the Sagitec-made Neospin software to refresh the agency’s pension administration infrastructure.
CalSTRS’ system will also be redesigned to have self-service features and to help users organize workflows, develop rules and create reports.
