CACI International will continue its support for U.S. Army sensor and imaging systems modeling and simulation work following the award of a 12-month, $43 million task order contract under the Strategic Services Sourcing vehicle.

The company will provide engineering support to the service’s Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate to help in the evaluation of sensor technologies and military training effectiveness, CACI said Thursday.

CACI CEO Ken Asbury, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015, said the company’s work with NVESD seeks to help bolster the U.S. military’s operational advantage amid the rise of asymmetric warfare.

The new contract also works to sustain the company’s C4ISR portfolio as it also covers technology deployment in support of surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition operations, CACI said.

NVESD is based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia and performs research and development work on sensor technologies with applications in limited-visibility conditions.
