TetraTechLogoTetra Tech will provide the National Homeland Security Research Center of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with technical support services as part of a new five-year, $20 million contract.

The contract covers support for NHSRC’s testing, evaluation and reporting work on chemical, biological and radiological contaminants, the company said Tuesday.

“Tetra Tech has supported EPA’s mission since the 1970s to protect human health and the environment, and we are pleased to broaden our services to the NHSRC with the award of this contract,” said Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO Dan Batrack.

The company said it will work to help the research center develop technologies to prevent the spread of contaminating agents to wastewater systems and drinking water supplies, among others.
