General Dynamics has deployed its air traffic control radios in Floyd W. Jones Lebanon Airport in Missouri as part of the Federal Aviation Administration air-ground communications modernization program.

The CM300/350 V2 VHF and UHF voice over Internet protocol radios are the first to go into operation at the airport, the company said Monday.

Chris Marzilli, president of General Dynamics mission systems and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015, said the radios are intended to help maintain safety in the national airspace for pilots and passengers.

Approved for ATC communications in 2014, the General Dynamics radios are ready for installation in airport towers, FAA centers and training facilities, the company says.
