mobile-securityRed Hat and Samsung have formed a partnership to develop mobile platforms for companies to manage business information and operations.

Red Hat said Tuesday it will work with Samsung to develop mobile applications that can be configured for a company’s back-end systems and can operate on Android and other mobile operating systems through the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform.

The alliance also seeks to combine both companies’ tools and resources to create a network of developers and industry partners that will work to develop mobile applications.

Red Hat said the collaboration covers the provision of enterprise mobility management and other technical support services for its mobile app tool and calls for both firms to craft go-to-market strategies for the mobile platforms that would come up from the alliance.
