operational security1THORAD has introduced a sensor-based platform designed to help enterprises detect and prevent safety and security threats within a facility.

The company said Thursday its THORAD platform consists of thermal, radar and optical sensors that work to gather images and uses computer algorithms to perform image analysis.

The system also works to provide alerts of safety hazards and threats to monitoring staff to initiate corrective actions and escalate problems to other personnel by sending notifications to mobile devices and computer networks.

Texas-based THORAD is collaborating with other companies to advance the use of the tool in border security, shipping, industrial manufacturing and power-generating facilities.
