SAIC logoScience Applications International Corp. will provide software development and other services to help deliver the U.S. Navy‘s Global-Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System Release 3 under a $11.4 million contract.

The Defense Department said Thursday SAIC will carry out design, integration and testing services; technical and engineering support; configuration and program management; contract administration; and logistics services.

SAIC will perform work in San Diego through January 2017 under the base period and the contract has options to increase its total value to $11.7 million and extend work through July 2017.

The obligated amount of $598,231 is from the Navy’s research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2014, DoD said.

G-TSCMIS works to centralize DoD’s Management Information System, which will serve as a hub for information on activities and events related to U.S. security cooperation efforts.
